What to expect:
The objective of this workshop is to give a brief introduction to the basics of neonatal lung ultrasound.
During this interactive workshop we will discuss
- The pleural line and the most important lung artifacts
- How to identify lung edema (interstitial syndrome), pleural effusion and consolidation
- How to rule out pneumothorax
- Main ultrasound patterns for respiratory distress syndrome, transient tachypnea of the newborn, meconium aspiration.
The workshop will divided into an interactive theoretical presentation followed by clinical cases.
Please feel free to bring your own cases to discuss.
